ITALY Readers's Tips - does anyone have any experiences to tell about travelling in eastern campania How to Where to go What to see Communication Best time to travel, etc. Thanks

Thanks to you folks on this board, I am to the point of trying to get from the Marco Polo Airport to our Hotel Guerrato There is hope yet : Please, let me know if you agree with what the hotel advises: From the airport, take the Actv Orange bus 82 to Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma, take the water boat (vaporetto n(after the n is a tiny circle like a "degree" symbol 82 (direction Rialto/San Marco andamp; get off at the Rialto stop.Cross the Rialto Bridge.. I thought it was best to avoid Piazzale Roma because of the traffic (human andamp; otherwise mess What is the difference between a Actv Orange bus 82 andamp; a water boat (vaporetto 82 So should I follow these directions Why not just take a water bus from the hotel to the Rialto Bridge Thanks in advance, again and34; Why not just take a water bus from the hotel to the Rialto Bridgeand34;and32; I thought you said you were coming from the airport and goingand32; to the hotel A bus is a bus, 4 wheels.here is a city bus (Nr. last time I looked and there is the more expensive ATVO FlyBus, both to Piazzale Roma which is the last stop for road traffic, after that no more roads, only canals, hence water buses vaporetti from there on. No (tiny o means numero number the first and last letter in the word, as in Nr for number in English. A bus to Mestre train station and the local tenminute train to Venice Santa Lucia where all the vaporetti line up outside.radeoff change at the Mestre station but no walking across from the Piazzale Roma in case you need a vaporetto that doesn't stop there. Alilaguna boatbus from the airport embarcadero to Venice, to Fondamente Nove and to San Marco / San Zaccaria (but not to Rialto they don't enter the Gran' Canal that is the domain of the Venice vaporetti. Your instructions sound just right I suggest you follow them unless you want to spend more.

I see (picture a lite bulb going on, the directions from the hotel staff say "bus", not "water bus".I read what was not there the Orange bus has wheels as you said back to reading class for me wonderful idea about the water taxi.Sounds like a much more relaxing, altho more costly, solution.Talked with hubby andamp; son andamp; they think divided per person, that is not such a bad deal, especially after an exhausting plane ride. So, from your information, sounds like at the a
