Anytime between April and October you will have crowds in the cities, but the weather is the best at the end of May, beginning of June and then again in September. With about 2 weeks of travel time, I highly suggest keeping the number of destinations to only 4.You want time to enjoy the local atmosphere versus racing from place to place. Walking tours can be fabulous done with the right guide.It is a good way to get your bearings on a city and I always reccommend it for your first full day in each city.
