I feel you should go to Bellagio for all of the reasons NBice points out. Stresa, Ascona, Brissago, Locarno with the Madonna del Sasso and the views, and many more places along the Lago Maggiore are very nice, but the boats stop running on Sep.4.o idea how late into the season they run on the Lake Como.ays get shorter, mother nature is winterizing the flora, it is not the greatest time to visit the lakes, better to go after the indoor charms in the historic cities in my view.
