Hi we are planning a trip to Rome at the end of this month.We will look to rent an apartment (two kids in tow for a week.what is the best location to be for walking to the sights.Trevi fountain thanks You can get to all of the sights from any location. We stayed near the Spanish Steps and were within 20 minutes of the Vatican and 30 min of the Coloseum. It seems many people favor the Piazza Navona area too.

I agree. took my two kids last November and we used the Metro quite a bit with no problem.e actually stayed in an apartment in the old olympic village and it was wonderful We hopped on a tram that took us to the Metro at the Piazza del Popolo. Also, if you are taking children (depending on their ages I highly recommend the driving school for children.hat was my kids' favorite part of the trip They even got Italian driving records that they can take back with them and have stamped with their next driving lesson
