ITALY Readers's Tips - 1.t should be reasonably mild, with cool nights and nice, even warm days, especially later in the month but there are of course no guarantees. If I were to ask you what kind of weather you will have in Washington in March you would be hard pressed to do anything other than offer a wild guess and the same holds true for Rome/Naples only a little less so. 2.epends on number 1. 3. prefer cheap but I recommend that you peruse a web site like Kayak for fares out of Dulles (I think AlItalia has regular flights from there to Rome or BWI into either Rome or Naples.Once you find a fare that you are comfortable with (within budget buy it and once done stop looking.i>and32; 4.asual chic of course. Also, if you enjoy walking/sightseeing, make sure to bring some broken in, comfortable shoes (even gym shoes as the cobblestone streets of Rome and the hilly areas in and around Naples can wear your feet out otherwise. Good luck and check back when/if you have some specific questions.

On a direct flight to Rome which airline would you say would be the best for coach travel Anyone have any advice

msmiz not sure what info you are seeking, but hope this helps. 1.Comfort if you are wondering which airline has the most comfortable coach seats, try seatguru.m.gives the pitch (legroom andamp; width of each seat by airplane type (airbus 300, etc used by each airline. Also lists undesirable seats, such as, "bags can't fit under seat in front of you because of blockage", etc.So, once you find the flight you want, note the airplane manufacturer/model, go to seatguru, find comfort level. 2.Prices we live in Indiana.last year, we flew Delta direct to Rome via Cincinnati; this year we are taking U. Air direct to Venice, direct from Rome via Philadelphia. We picked those 2 because at the time, they had the best price for flights without stops in Europe, with the lowest nonstop travel time.I'm sure there may be others with better prices, but we did not want Altalia because of the luggage problems, did not want the hassle of a nonU. international airport, etc.(Friends of ours in Ohio found the best buy on Northwest. Re: price I often try the discounter sites (travelocity, etc. Sometimes I get good leads, but often I find that they do not list all airlines/flights andamp; exclude some good buys.So I advise searching the discounters, but also going to the website of each andamp; every airline. Re: coach it was absolutely miserable for me andamp; not because I am accustomed to first class always take coach. But 9 11 hours in a tiny, tiny seat with my knees crunched was awful but then I am in my 60's.Maybe it is due to old age, because my son, mid 40's, said it wasn't that bad. Also, we could not sleep. This time we will take "drugs" Yahoo but this time for the first time, we are flying 1st class found a great buy on u. air but that was about 9 months ago. Good luck, Julie
