the Pantheon
Vatican City (St.eter's, climb the dome, tour the Vatican Museum in the morning (Papal audiences on Wed
Campo de' Fiori, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps.r>

Flights out of florence are about 100 more, but would we be better off spending more time in some of the other places (we're kinda fast pace look at the sights and say ooh, then move along to find a nice area to relax then onto the next
Also opinions on our budget please.0Euro per day, we're hosteling it up andamp; not going for shopping, main expenses expected to be transit/entrance fees.
TIA
Thanks Rachel, we understood perfectly what you were saying. We're going to leave Rome in andamp; maybe combine Milan andamp; Lake Maggiore into 3days total (as we're not shopping so Milan might be a bit sad.
We're skipping Venice because we have tenative plans to return for Carnival next year andamp; thought we could try out some of the places that intrigued us
Your website is interesting andamp; we're using it as an additional resource.
Thanks again
Fievel
I'm not sure where you're flying into, which could make a difference.
Hostels are easier to hop into and hop away again than hotels, so that's a good idea for what is a packed itinery.
I guess the usual question should be asked: What do you really want to do/see.ots of famous sites / lots of variety / different aspects of Italian Life From what you've said, seeing lots and being active is important and that stacks up with your itinery.
What you've planned has the advantage of seeing not just tourist cities (as many do on a first trip, but also smaller towns/cities (Siena/La Spezia as well as tourist cities (Rome/Florence and scenic locations (CT/Lake Maggiore as well as more functional cities (Milan/Turin.n some ways this is a fantastic crosssection of Italy and only really misses out the smaller less touristy places (but for a 1st trip, they're not always ideal.
Personally I couldn't do such a trip now I'm too old for 6am starts, being on the go all day and crashing at the hostel after a meal and a few wines/beers.till you seem up for it, so with the right attitude you can make it work for you.
Should you do Rome You don't have to (great holidays aren't about ticking off all the important sites, however as you've got a list of stuff you'd like to see there, t
