Positano first and then Siracusa. Fly from Naples to Catania and then in 45mins to Siracusa. Siracusa is splendid; a lot of stuff to see: Greek Theatre and isle of Ortigia the best. They can rent a car in Catania airport and use it to visit also Noto and Modica, two gorgeous baroque town near Siracusa, both in the World Heritage list of Unesco. It is the same one or the other. do not suggest to rent a car, they can take a ferry overnight and get there easily or a train in the morning.

We're looking at catching the train.hich destination would be the best to get off at considering we wish to spend a few weeks in the area to visit Positano, Amalfi, Capri, and Pompeii and of course Sorrento.rom here we'd travel up to Naples and on to Rome.
