Have you considered Bolzano in the Dolomites We were there last year in August and found it charming.Just our luck the two days we were there it was rainy with cloud cover but, what we managed to glimpse of it during our drive, the area has got to be magnificent in sunshine. Not in any order of priorities you would make the geographical logic be the ordering factor, but I would put at the top of the list:
