ITALY Readers's Tips - Hi W, Since I prefer Venice to Rome, I would spend the whole week there. How are yu doing your Florence Portion

If you've never been before I think I would limit myself to just Florence and Rome in 7 days.hey are fairly close together and it's a crime to only spend half a day in Florence Hope you have a wonderful trip either way We just returned from Italy on October 5 after 16 days there.It was fabulous However, you will not be able to see much of Florence in only 1/2 day.We spent three nights there and did 5 of the museums.Venice was our favorite city (three nights there, too and the Amalfi Coast was great, too. Thanks for the suggestions.Because the weather may be testy in Venice and b/c my wife and I are not museum people, we will be in Rome for the first 4 days of our trip.Florence from 9:00am to 6:00pm allows us to see David and parts of the Uffizi, then stroll around the area.Thanks.
