When in Italy and France, as long as you're away from the really touristy areas, there will be lots of really good food to be had that is typical of the region. When in London, grab a copy of the timeout cheap eats guide, which should provide good food on a budget.or a slightly more expensive meal, but not expensive, I'd recommend the Swedish Restaurant "Garbo's" on Crawford St Near Baker St/Edgeware Rd tube.owever this is one of many good value restaurants, though indicative of the attitude of tasting the world's food. dharv, Using credit cards and ATMs is cheaper than bringing euro (assuming you are coming from the USA.tms are everywhere.ake sure the money is in your checking account and you notify the banks that you will be using them in Italy.
