If you go to a real embassy, be prepared to put up with several layers of security, stare down some stern Marines when you get in, look at a lot of bulletproof glass, hand over everything that's in your pockets, and wait, then wait some more.nd that is a description of what it was like before 911, in peaceful Switzerland of all places.an't imagine what it is like these days.

Hi there, My husband and I saved some money by renting an apartment for 4 nights in Florence this past June.e were so sick of paying 120 euros + per night for less than Motel 6 accommodations.o I googled and checked on Craiglist for vacation rentals and we found a really nice 2 bedroom apartment in the "Oltrarno" section of Florence, We paid in American Dollars about 190 per night (which is about 150 euros which was less than most hotels that we saw on expediaAlso they offer cheaper deals if you stay longer and depending on the season.he apartment we stayed in was called "Casa Spinelli" it was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen and most of the furniture looked brand new.t was right next to everything, yet it was on a quiet street.he web address is www.saspinelli.m
Me, my husband and two teenage boys just returned from 12 days in Rome, Florence and Venice. We rented apartments in Rome and Florence and a small hotel room in Venice. The apartment in Rome in the Campo dei Fiori area was called "Casa Paradiso," and I will attest to the truth of that name. What a beautiful place.Three levels, three double beds, a full kitchen, a great bathroom with a washing machine and beautiful views of the city. All this for 150 Euros per night for four. It's less for fewer people and more for more people, I think. We really wondered if it was going to be too good to be true, but it was so nice, I will never stay anywhere else when I return to Rome.We booked this through www.eepinitaly.m.
In Florence, we stayed at Pucci Suites which is located in a residential neighborhood about 1015 m
