ITALY Readers's Tips - I'm a big fan of Turin and love it's "aperitivo hour(s", food, wine, cafes, chocolate, tunnels . etc.owever for a first timer, it might not be as easy to settle into the city as the others.t's not very touristy (which is great, however the down side is that you could really use some Italian Language to get value out of it.wo days is feasible, but I sense it might be worth spreading those two days over your other cities. GREAT people, perfect location to walk everywhere In Venice another great place to stay is Pensione La Calcina, on the water on a quiet canal.n Florence, again, wonderful location with wonderful views.nd 5 minute walk to everywhere.t was called ANTICA TORRE TONABUONI. have some great tour guides as well.e did one night in Milan, 4 bellagio, 4 venice, 1 florence, 3 umbria, 3 rome and 2 amalfi coast.e came back quite rested and had a wonderful time.in our mid50's, so not real young.
